The Industrial Development Authority of the City of Douglas was founded in 1969 and is an Arizona nonprofit corporation. Douglas is located in the southeastern corner of Arizona on the U.S.-Mexico border, across from the city of Agua Prieta, Sonora.
At The Industrial Development Authority, our mission is to cultivate a vibrant community by fostering business development and economic growth. Through collaboration with the Industrial Development Authority (IDA), we aim to create networking opportunities to achieve mutual growth goals. Our diverse board of directors is committed to listening to public input and addressing community needs. We prioritize the welfare of our residents, ensuring decisions are considerate and beneficial to all. The IDA members meet the second Friday of the month at 10:00 a.m., at City Hall building.
Directors of The Industrial Development Authority are appointed by the Douglas City Council.
Directors must be residents and qualified electors of the City of Douglas, Cochise County, Arizona. No Director shall be an officer or employee of the City of Douglas.
