Important Information to Applicants

Residency Requirement
All employees of the City of Douglas shall reside within a 60-mile radius of the City limits within the United Stated within 3 months after completion of probation.
Employment Eligibility Verification
This employer participates in E-Verify. This employer will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
Recruitment Procedure
City application form is required unless otherwise noted. Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of a completed City application. Applications are available online for each posted job. Applications may be obtained by contacting Human Resources by calling 520-417-7326 or in person at:

Applications are only accepted for positions that are currently open. Interest cards are available for positions not currently in recruitment. This information is kept on file for 6 months and if a recruitment begins for the specific listed position, we will send you notification that an application may be completed. Interest Cards are available at the Human Resources office or the information required may be emailed to Nadia Rodriguez. The information required consists of name, address, phone number, email address and position/department interested in applying.
After the closing date all applications will be reviewed. This process usually takes 2 to 3 weeks. All applicants will be notified of their status in the recruitment and of any testing dates that may be appropriate.

Notice to Prospect Employees & Volunteers
Your fingerprints will be used to check the criminal history records of the FBI. If you have a criminal history record, the officials making a determination of your suitability for the job must provide you the opportunity to complete or challenge the accuracy of the information in the record. You should be afforded a reasonable amount of time to correct or complete the record (or decline to do so) before officials deny you the job based on information in the criminal history record.
The procedures for obtaining a change, correction, or updating of your FBI criminal history record are set forth in the Title 28, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Section 16.30 through 16.34. Information on how to review and challenge your FBI criminal history record can be found at the FBI website, or by calling 304-625-5590.
To obtain a copy of your Arizona criminal history in order to review/update/correct the record, you can contact the Arizona Department of Public Safety Criminal History Records Unit at 602-223-2222 to obtain a fingerprint card and a Review and Challenge packet.
