The Friends of the Douglas Public Library is a group whose membership is open to anyone interested in lending support, either financial or volunteer, to enhance the library's collections, programs, and services and assist the library with the promotion of literacy.
Through semi-annual book sales and daily sales of books, book bags, and other items, the Friends sponsor the Summer Reading Programs, guest speakers, and special events and assist with the purchase of library furniture, equipment, and materials.
