Alma Andrade has over 20 years of experience in public service within local government and spent five years working at a Diplomatic Consulate Office in Douglas.
This diverse background has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the administrative functions of city government. As a Deputy City Clerk, she supported the City Clerk with council meetings, managed access to the city’s historical records, adhered to a formal records management program, and assisted with local elections.
Alma holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government with an Emphasis in Legal Studies from Grand Canyon University, as well as an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Cochise College. She has achieved the highest designation a clerk can earn, Master Municipal Clerk (MMC), and is also a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC), Certified Elections Officer, and Notary Public. Alma currently serves as the Region 9 Leader for the Arizona Municipal Clerks Association. She is an active member of both the Arizona Municipal Clerks Association (AMCA) and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC).
