Swim Lessons

The City of Douglas offers American Red Cross swim classes taught by our certified instructors. Classes will run for 45 minutes and limited to 6 students per instructor. This will ensure quality lessons and more individual time with the instructor. Our swimming lessons are designed for all levels that allow swimmers to gain new habits in and near the water, learn and improve new strokes, and become safe swimmers.

Dates: Nov 6 - 16 & Nov 20 - Dec 1

Important Information

Swim Lesson Evaluations

Evaluations are not available on the first day of class. Please complete a swim test before registering your child in classes. This will ensure your child gets into the correct level.

Level 1 (Lobsters) - Level 4 (Orcas) must have their swimming evaluation card that verifies eligibility for the class you are enrolling for.

Waiting Lists and No - Shows

Waiting lists will be formed for all the levels as needed. Your child may be removed from a class if he/she misses two consecutive classes. Waiting list entries will be called to fill spots of "no-shows" after the second day of the session. We please ask that you call the Aquatic Center at least 24-hours advanced notice of intent to drop a class to be eligible to receive credit or a partial refund.

Registration is based on "first come first served."
