Juan Pablo Flores has been an attorney since 1990 and was appointed as City Attorney in May of 2008. Since that time he has established a distinguished track record advising and representing this municipality. This office provides legal advice to public officials, various municipal property corporations and department directors on legislation, home rule law and obligations, restrictions on land acquisitions, charters and amendments, intergovernmental agreements, zoning and land developments.
This office also provides counsel and advice on issues relating to municipal activities under the Arizona Constitution and other Arizona statutes and regulations regarding municipal corporations, tax increment financing, redevelopment agreements, land acquisition, planned development ordinances, zoning compliance, and economic development tax incentives and business retention agreements. Other duties include close to 30 years of experience in providing legal services in the areas of contracts and procurement law, bids and proposals and preparing contracts.
